Focus Tripod Telescopic Floodlight – Small Size Fire Research Corp

The FCA642 Tripod with a focus lamphead will measure 42″ with the legs retracted. (This is the stowed configuration.) The -ON on/off switch option or -TW top wire option will each add 1″ to this dimension.

A NEMA L5-15 three prong twist lock plug and the -G wire guard are included as standard equipment on all FRC Tripods.

The optional Tripod mounting bracket set includes a foot pad that the bottom of the tripod fits into and a quick release spring loaded dead bolt that holds the tripod securely.

The light pole is made of anodized aluminum and has a knurled twist lock mechanism to secure the extension pole in position. The extension pole extends 16″ and rotates 360 degrees. An internal brake slows the extension pole during lowering. The outer pole is a grooved aluminum extrusion. The folding legs are anodized aluminum tubing with plastic endcaps. The fully extended tripod system exceeds a height of 6′ and is less than 3 1/2′ when collapsed. Wiring extends from the pole bottom with a 4′ retractile cord.

The bulb is accessible through the front. The lamphead directs 50 percent of the light onto the action area while providing 50 percent to illuminate the working area. The lamphead angle of elevation is adjustable at a pivot in the mounting arm and the position is locked with a round knurled locking knob. The lamphead incorporates heat-dissipating fins. Lamphead and mounting arm are powder coated white. The floodlight is UL listed as a scene light for fire service use.
